Sales Development Representative (SDR)

Job Description:
Vertex Software is actively seeking an experienced, results-driven Sales Development Rep (SDR) to continue to execute and grow our enterprise sales model. Vertex utilizes an account-based marketing (ABM) strategy for which the SDR plays a key role. This individual will contribute to the strategy and execution in creating an ideal customer profile, developing a successful cadence to identify and warm sales leads, and executing the model. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Outbound prospecting via email, phone, and social media to key targets and accounts that suit Vertex products and fit within our target markets
  • Book initial and follow-up meetings with both outbound and inbound prospects for sales and partner teams
  • Actively engage and nurture prospects in the marketing and sales funnel to vet and advance them to sales qualified leads (SQL)
  • Champion Vertex on social media (primarily LinkedIn) to engage prospects and advance our brand
  • Account and prospect research for further targeting and meetings
  • Collaborate actively with sales, marketing, and product marketing to give 'voice of the customer' feedback to improve prospecting/messaging
  • Use HubSpot to track and score leads within the pipeline

Qualifications Needed:
  • Minimum 2 years experience as an SDR or Inside Sales
  • B.A. in Marketing or related field preferred    
  • Incredible verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to learn and use new technology in a relatively quick manner with instruction
  • Fantastic organizational skills to keep contacts and schedules perfectly in order
  • Experience in HubSpot or other CRM tool and LinkedIn Sales Navigator preferred
  • Highly self-motivated and driven to test new prospecting tactics
  • Very adaptable and open to rapid pace/changes
  • Strong relationship and trust-building skills
  • Entrepreneurial spirit to seek new and creative ways to solve problems and advance ideas
